Affiliate

Referring customers, what could take place in several and predefined ways, the affiliate receives a commission from the merchant or advertiser who places the advertisement via his affiliate manager.

Distribution

This type of sales variant has successfully established itself on the Internet and is valid for almost all areas. The merchant or advertiser makes the necessary advertising material (banners, ads, advertorials, etc.) available to the affiliate or makes them available to the affiliate. As a rule, these are affiliate links through which interested customers can access the advertised service, the advertised web shop or the advertised product. This link will be implemented (built into) into the affiliate's website and (hopefully) clicked on by the reader.

Persecution

The advertiser who makes use of the affiliate's reach or network significance provides the affiliate link with a code. The code remains traceable which affiliate generated the page views, it is very important for the subsequent billing / remuneration of the affiliate. The so called mail publisher is a special form of affiliate. Within this method the page views (clicks) are not generated via the website but, for example, via a regularly sent newsletter. The well known variaties apply as optional remuneration systems in the affiliate sector: Cost per Click (CPC), Cost per Lead (CPL) and Cost per Order (CPO), also known as Cost per Sale (CPS).
